The Skamania County Fire Department lifted the East County Recreational Fire Burn Ban effective June 30, 2026.

The ban had been in effect since June 15, 2026, when the fire department issued the restriction due to dry conditions and high fire danger. The decision to lift the ban follows improved weather conditions and reduced fire risk in the county.

Residents are reminded that small debris burning is still restricted in West County as of June 15, 2026, according to the county's public records. The West County debris burn ban remains in place until further notice.
