Smoke from wildfires burning in Skamania County has moved into Clark, Cowlitz, and Lewis counties, prompting the Southwest Clean Air Agency to issue an air-quality advisory through Friday evening.
Eastern parts of Clark, Cowlitz, and Lewis counties will see high smoke concentrations, according to the advisory. The advisory applies to areas east of the Columbia River, including communities near the Skamania County border.
Residents in affected areas are advised to limit outdoor activities, especially for those with respiratory conditions. The advisory will remain in effect until Friday evening.
